Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Tyneside Digital Studio collects through this website and by email, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations). Before we open accounts or take payments, we'll publish an updated policy covering them.
Who we are
The data controller is Tyneside Digital Studio, a sole trader business (the owner is named under Business information in our Terms & Conditions). Correspondence address: Collingwood Buildings, 38 Collingwood Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1JF, United Kingdom. ICO registration: Not registered. Not required yet, as we have not started trading. Contact us about anything in this policy at tyneside.digitalstudio@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Nothing through this website itself. It has no forms, accounts, cookies, analytics, adverts or tracking, and doesn't load anything from other websites.
- Server logs: like every website, our host (Netlify) records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser and the page requested, to keep the site running and secure.
- Emails you send us: your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
How and why we use it
We use server logs to keep the website working and secure, and your emails to reply to you and keep a record of our conversation. Our lawful basis for both is our legitimate interests in running the business and answering enquiries.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. It's handled only by the providers that run this website and our email: our web host (Netlify) and Google, which provides our email account. Some providers store data outside the UK (for example in the USA). Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Emails: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they relate to an order (then 6 years, for tax).
- Server logs: for as long as our host keeps them, under its own policy.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. Email tyneside.digitalstudio@gmail.com to use any of these rights. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first at tyneside.digitalstudio@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
Our website and products are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
